Carmen Weiler is a competitive international swimmer with a passion for pushing limits and inspiring others in the pool. Half Spanish and half German, Carmen grew up in Singapore and now trains at Virginia Tech, bringing a global perspective to her athletic journey.

Known for her dedication, focus, and love of the sport, she thrives on the thrill of competition and the opportunity to share her knowledge and experience with fellow athletes. One of her main focuses is to keep enjoying the journey, making sure she never loses sight of the fun along the way.

Specializing in backstroke and freestyle, she always strives for further improvement in the little details that matter. Whether it’s through clinics, events, or personal coaching, Carmen aims to motivate others to reach their full potential, both in swimming and in life. 

Career Highlights

  • 2 semifinals at the Paris Olympics representing Spain (finishing 9th in the 100 backstroke and 13th in the 200)
  • 5th and 8th at NCAAs in 2025 (200 and 100 backstroke)
  • European Champion 200m backstroke 2025
  • Competed in multiple World/European Championships and other international meets
  • Finished in 6th and 8th at World Championships in Budapest 2024
  • Multiple Spanish records
