BODIMAX Wear & Care - How to Properly Care for Your BODIMAX Sleeves
We’ve talked a lot about how important BODIMAX is to your swimming and to your training, both in regard to athlete performance and recovery. Training at a high level takes a lot out of your body, and how quickly your body is able to respond is incredibly important. So, we encourage athletes to incorporate BODIMAX into their training in the water, in the weight room, and in dryland. With a demanding training regimen, we are often asked, 'How do we get the longest life our of BODIMAX?' or 'What is the best way to care for the sleeves?'
Watch this video for wear and care tips from our Founder and CEO, Dan! ⬇️ ⬇️
Takeaways:
- Do NOT wear your sleeves in warm, highly-chlorinated water (like hot tubs)
- After use, rinse sleeves in cold water and lay out to air dry
- Do NOT wad up and leave in a locker, mesh swim, swim bag, especially for long periods of time
- The first few times wearing the sleeves are when they will be tightest. The woven fabric will relax a little bit after several uses, especially in the pool.
- With proper wear and care, one pair of sleeves can last an athlete an average of six months
- The better the care, the longer they will wear!
